You can get to Queenstown by flying from either Auckland, New Zealand, or from any major airports in Australia (like Sydney or Melbourne). If you live in Australia, then lucky you! You only need one flight. However, if you’re coming from the Philippines or from the US, you will need to take a connecting flight from either Auckland, NZ, or Australia. Check out Air New Zealand or Jetstar to book your flights from Auckland/Australia to Queenstown. It’s not often that you’ll be flying down to Middle Earth, so make it a big trip and take the chance to visit more than one city!

Also, there are many options for getting around Queenstown- be it by car, taxi, bus or coach! If you opt to drive your own car, just keep in mind that in New Zealand, we drive on the left hand side of the road, and especially on long stretches of road in the countryside, it is proper etiquette to move to the left side of the road to let a faster vehicle behind you go first. We strongly suggest familiarizing yourself with the New Zealand road code and the Drive Safe website.
